We enjoyed our stay at Kingfisher very much. I thought the cottage was lovely and had everything we needed. The weather was very cold (February) but the cottage was always warm. The owners Paddy and Mark were very welcoming and friendly. We took our six month old puppy Milly with us and the enclosed garden area outside the cottage was very convenient for her, although sometimes she had to share it with a chicken or two. There are lots of very good walks close by, and Redgrave and Lopham Fen is within walking distance and is a must for nature lovers. We also enjoyed Knettishall Country Park which is a short drive away. Take walking boots or stout shoes for these if the weather is not too good. Southwold is an easy drive away and the pier is worth a visit, we had lunch at the Nelson Inn which serves good food and welcomes dogs. I would happily recommend a stay here and hope to go back when the weather is warmer.
